My Island Home

I also come from a saltwater people so when I first heard this song- by the Warumpi Band I loved it but this version was great too
especially as the timing of it was a direct swing at our dearly despised (and hopefully soon departed) Prime Minister and his refusal to utter one little word- sorry.

She is so beautiful... Is she originally from OZ, she looks like a native from there maybe mixed..
I only listen to BBC R&B they have much better music and much more current.. I know english not good:):)

Hi Dianne I love it too :-)
Christine Anu is from the Torres Strait originally and started out as a dancer but was 'discovered' by Neil Murray from the Warumpi Band. Strictly speaking she is Melanesian more than Aboriginal She's been on stage and acted- she was in Moulin Rouge -along with just about every Australian performer LOL

there's music and video on her space worth listening to and watching.

You would probably find her on Amazon- most Aussie acts seem to be listed now. Her Coz I'm Free is a great track too- inspired by Cathy Freeman the Olympic hurdler
